Mother Muse Magazine
I've always loved looking through magazines. When I lived in New York City, there was a big magazine store right down the street from my school that was filled with exotic and unheard of publications from all around the world. I could spend hours in there flipping through inspiration about travel, cooking, gardening, motherhood and more.
A few months ago I heard about a new magazine in development from Canada, called Mother Muse. Dedicated to slow living mothers, this coffee table publication was focused on natural living, spending time outdoors, sustainable companies and motherhood - basically everything I love in my life (motherhood soon, hopefully!). I immediately reached out to the founder and asked if I could help design for the magazine. And to my delight, she said yes!
So, for the first issue that launched in February, I designed both the front and back covers, as well as some floral illustrations used throughout the publication.
I still can't believe that I'm a published designer, and on the cover no less! Everything about working with this magazine has been amazing. When I got my hands on a hard copy, I sat down then & there and read through every. single. page. Something I never do with magazines normally. But it's that good.
